A new crusade - Una nueva cruzada

Hi there!. Silence is finally broken (sort of). After leaving for good my beloved Shanghai, and back from our (not so long) vacation in amazing South of France, here I am; writing while I enjoy the lovely view of the apartment my bf's husband's company has arranged for us (just until we find ours).

France was just perfect, as usual, amazing time shared with family and close friends, long lunches, aperitivos and diners (superb food!!), plus sightseeing of some of the most beautiful towns of the Sudoest (we did a road trip through the Coast...). Loooooots of material I will share with you.


But nothing last forever, specially vacations :-(

With sorrow and excitement (all at the same time); we parted and we took the longest flight ever to arrive to our final destination last Sunday; and as I told you before, the new country we will be calling home for the next 2 years (at least) is tiny (really, really tiny) but beautiful.

A place with lots of charm and a wonderful mix of Chinese and Western cultures and the perfect weather for an iguana like me , disfrutando los rayos del sol, (who just loves to lay down under the sun). That place is Macau.

Hmmm...Haven't heard of it before, right?. Don't worry, I'll change that ;-) in the meantime check this post that I previously wrote about Macau.

Now that I'm almost back, I have a confession to make: I still don't have a recipe to share with you. Ohhhh, yes I know, you hate me!, but believe me, it's quite difficult to produce new recipes without a kitchen (service apartments don't have a fully equipped kitchen, at least not to my demands), and to be honest, even if it was (fully equipped) I'm devoting my days to find a nice apartment!, so I hope you can understand and wait a little bit more.



In short: GRACIAS, MERCI, THANK YOU all for your sweet emails, and messages in Twitter and Facebook demanding me for recipes, news and sending us best wishes on our new life (and culinary) crusade.

I promise I will be back pronto! (with recipes, reviews and all the good stuff).

In spanish pliss!

Hola a todos!. El silencio se ha roto (bueno, algo así). Después de dejar mi adorada Shanghai, y de regreso de nuestras (no muy largas) vacaciones en el fantástico Sur de Francia, hoy, estoy escribiendo este post mientras observo la magnifica vista del departamento que la empresa de mi novio nos ha provisto (hasta encontrar el nuestro).

Francia como siempre fue increíble, fantásticos momentos con la familia y amigos mas cercanos, largos almuerzos, aperitivo time y cenas fantásticas (la comida formidable!!) así como visitas a algunos de los pueblitos mas lindos y pintorescos del Sudoeste de Francia.

Pero bueno, nothing last forever, especialmente las vacaciones :-( así que después de tomar un larguisisimo vuelo finalmente llegamos a nuestro nuevo destino el domingo pasado, como ya les había comentado anteriormente, el nuevo país que desde ya llamamos casa (por lo menos por los próximos dos años) es pequeño, super, super pequeño, pero hermoso, con un encanto inigualable y una magnifica mezcla de culturas China y Occidentales (especialmente portuguesa) es sin contar con el perfecto clima que a esta iguana (me) espera aprovechar al máximo disfrutando los rayos del sol!. Ese país es MACAU. No han escuchado de el? No se preocupen, yo cambiare eso, por lo pronto pueden checar este post que escribí sobre MACAU en nuestra primera visita a este país (el ano pasado).

Ahora que ya estoy casi de vuelta en esto del blogging, tengo una pequeña confesión que hacerles: todavía no puedo compartirles una receta. Ohhhh, si lo se, me odian!, pero creanme que es bastante difícil si no imposible crear nuevas recetas sin una cocina (la del depa no esta muy equipada que digamos) y aunque lo estuviera (bien equipada) , en realidad estoy dedicando mis días a encontrar un verdadero depa para nosotros, así que agradezco un poco de comprension.

En corto: GRACIAS, MERCI, THANK YOU a todos por sus lindos emails, mensajes vía Twitter o Facebook pidiendome mas recetas, noticias y en general deseándonos lo mejor en esta nueva cruzada de vida (y culinaria) que estamos comenzando. Regresare muy pronto. (Sip, con recetas, reseñas y mas cosillas).
