It wasn´t exactly ours since Régis had to work Saturday and Sunday. So this time {our weekend} was more mon weekend. Usually, when this happens (and it happens 98% of the times) I spend those days home alone.
(sigh)
I wasn´t extremely cheerful yesterday but even thought I went for a walk around Taipa, the tiny island were we live.
This is what I saw.
Almost two years have passed since we moved to Macau and unlike some of my expat friends, I still get this feeling of excitment when I stumble onto these little colorful corners and alleys. Not to mention the happiness I get from the (basic level) conversations on Putonghua I have with my new little friends; nothing to be worried, I did not ask them ni xi huan he pi jiu ma?.

No exactamente nuestro finde ya que Régis trabajó Sábado y Domingo. Así que esta vez fue más mon weekend que {our weekend} . Usualmente, cuando ésto pasa (y sucede al menos un 98% de las veces) prefiero pasarlo tranquila en casa.

Ayer no tenía que ser la excepción, no me sentía muy animada, más aún así decidí dar un paseo por Taipa, la pequeñísima isla donde vivimos.
Ésto es lo que ví.
Ya casi dos años desde que mos mudamos a Macau, y a diferencia de varios amigos expats, todavía experimento emoción y alegría al descubrir diminutos y coloridos callejones y esquinas de mi barrio. Y eso sin contar la felicidad total que tengo de sostener profundas conversaciones de Chino Mandarin con mis pequeños nuevos amigos; y nada de que preocuparse, que no les ando preguntando: ni xi huan he pi jiu ma?.
