This morning I had one of those bizarre moments when a total random thought hit me: - I must check my passport validity. Now. Ahorita. Thank God I did. Apparently, I forgot I had to renew my passport so here I am on the very last day heading to a forced trip to Hong Kong to fulfill rule number one of being a good expat and a seasoned traveler:
Always have a valid passport (with you...but that´s rule number two).* Always.
Otherwise how can we pretend we´re all set to explore the world?.

Esta mañana en uno de esos extraños momentos así nomás de la nada me dije: - Creo que debo revisar la validez de mi pasaporte. Ahorita. Now. A Dios gracias que lo hice. Aparentemente, olvidé renovar mi pasaporte en tiempo y aqui estoy, dirigiendome a HK en un viaje obligado para cumplir con la `muy sencilla´ tarea y regla número uno de cualquiera que se diga experto viajero o expatriado:
- Siempre tener un pasaporte válido a la mano.* Always.
Si no, ¿Cómo pretendemos explorar éste maravilloso mundo?.
